Jaafar Jackson, the nephew of the late Michael Jackson, has signed with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) for representation. Jaafar is set to portray his iconic uncle in the upcoming biopic Michael, marking his acting debut.
The son of Jermaine Jackson, Jaafar will step into the spotlight as Michael Jackson under the direction of Antoine Fuqua. The biopic is produced by Graham King, known for the Oscar-winning Bohemian Rhapsody.
The film is scheduled for a worldwide release on April 18, 2025, with Lionsgate handling distribution in the U.S. and Japan, and Universal Pictures managing other territories.
Jaafar, who released his debut single “Got Me Singing” in 2019, has pursued music from a young age, beginning piano and vocal training at age 12. Michael, produced by John Branca and John McClain, co-executors of the Michael Jackson estate, will explore the life of the pop legend, including the controversial aspects such as the child sexual assault allegations.
In addition to his entertainment career, Jaafar Jackson supports initiatives focused on ending human trafficking and world hunger. He continues to be represented by David Weber and Robert Offer at Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern.
