The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim Overview:

This massive animated treat occurs 183 years before the original “Lord of the Rings” trilogy unfolds, and relatedly, concerning the House of Helm Hammerhand, the all-recognizable King of Rohan. When Wulf, worden and cruel Dunlending lord, comes to avenge his father’s death, Helm and his people are forced on a desperate final stand in the ancient stronghold of the Hornburg—a fortress that will be known later as Helm’s Deep. As chaos breaks out, Héra, Helm’s daughter, is left with no choice but to lead a resistance against the deadly enemy hell-bent on total annihilation.
