Director Jeethu Joseph has whipped out an entertaining mix of fun and frolic in the form of Nunakuzhi. The film steers clear of the irrelevant twists and turns that a normal Malayalam movie follows and gets on with a well-drafted narrative. Basil Joseph has done justice to his role as Eby, a man-child who tries to take on the responsibility of running a business empire in the wake of his father’s death. His obsession with his newlywed wife, Rimi, played by Nikhila Vimal, lands him in a series of humourful mishaps. An Income Tax raid confiscating Eby’s personal laptop sets off a chain reaction of panic events. The ensemble cast, which includes Grace Antony, Aju Varghese, and Siddique, further enhances the film. Nunakuzhi is spot on, eliciting loud guffaws from audiences as the humor is all precisely timed.
